Day Camps

HI4Y's Vacamas Day Camp offers 3 and 5 day-a-week programs in a supportive environment that encourages campers to set new goals and develop self-confidence, responsibility and leadership. Each week has a different theme to create an atmosphere of excitement and variety throughout the summer.

Enrollment is on a first-come, first-serve basis. Parents can pick which combination of weeks works best for their schedule.

Meals and Snacks

Vacamas Day Camp will provide lunch in our dining hall every day, as part of the cost of camp. Campers may still bring their own lunch if they prefer. Breakfast can be provided at an additional charge for those children utilizing the extended care options. Mid-afternoon snack is served to all campers before the end of the regular camp day.

Qualified Staff

Vacamas Day Camp staff is comprised of mature, dedicated individuals who are committed to providing a safe, fun and educational environment for your child. Most counselors and all supervisory staff are over 21 years old. All counselors undergo a week-long orientation to prepare for the important job of looking after the physical and emotional safety of your children. Each counselor has responsibility for four to eight campers.

In addition to the regular program staff, HI4Y utilizes trained professionals in specialty areas, including Boating, Arts and Crafts, Ropes Courses, Hiking, Nature Studies, Creative Writing, Cook-Outs, and Campfires.
